Front-End Developer

Summary:

We are a Grand Rapids-area web and marketing development company in search for a talented front-end developer. A qualified applicant would be a fast learner with excellent problem solving skills; have strong verbal and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, be creative, and believe in teamwork and integrity.

General Requirements:
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours per week)

  • Live in or near the Grand Rapids / West Michigan area
  • Belief in Teamwork & Integrity
Required Skills:
  • Skilled in graphics programs like Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Strong skills in XHTML and CSS 2
  • Understanding of and ability to develop Javascript, PHP
  • Experience in standard compliant web development
  • Ability to hand-write code in a non-WYSIWYG environment
  • Ability to write blog and website content
Additional Skills:
  • Ability to design whatever style website that is demanded
  • Ability to fix browser bugs in web designs
  • Knowledge of advanced CSS techniques (sprites, sliding doors, etc.)
  • Ability to create vector-based designs in Photoshop Knowledge of search engine optimization
  • Experience in Content Management Systems
  • Understanding of print design
  • Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL Databases
  • Ability to create logos and icons for use in sites and applications
  • Understanding of ASP and XML
  • Ability to develop AJAX and understand basic RPC
  • Some knowledge in User Interface Design
  • Awareness of PHP Frameworks, Python, Ruby, and Ruby-on-Rails
