Summary:

Our Grand Rapids-area web and marketing development company in search for a talented web application developer. A qualified applicant would be a fast learner with excellent problem solving skills; have strong verbal and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, be creative, and believe in teamwork and integrity.

General Requirements:
  • Available to work full-time (40-hours per week)

  • Belief in Teamwork & Integrity
Required Skills:
  • Skilled in PHP 5 & MySQL 5
  • Knowledge of SQL Syntax
  • Strong skills in HTML 4.0, XML & XHTML 1.0 Transitional
  • CSS 1 & 2
  • Experience in standard compliant web development
  • Excellent knowledge in web application development using PHP & MySQL
  • Understanding of and ability to develop Javascript
  • Ability to hand-write code in a non-WYSIWYG environment
  • Ability to write blog and website content
Additional Skills:
  • Experience in Content Management Systems
  • Skilled in Linux and UNIX servers with awareness of shell scripting
  • Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL Databases
  • Understanding of ASP and XML
  • Ability to develop AJAX and understand basic RPC
  • Some knowledge in User Interface Design
  • Ability to manipulate images in Photoshop
  • Awareness of PHP Frameworks, Python, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails
